Personal Devils~Intimate Demons is an eclectic collection of ten short stories and four humorous essays making cynical observations about those who would appear to be normal, uninteresting people locked in life and death struggles with their own personal devils.
Among the haunted are unhappy husbands who try to rid themselves of wives by unusual means, a museum curator who steals the small figurine of a naked women and takes it home, a simple farmer who scoffs at his religious wife’s fears of hell’s demons and three parapsychology students who are delighted, for a while, to have a notorious haunted house in which to conduct their experiments.
Ron waxes cynical in essays about: sexual harassment that never made it to the textbooks, an aspiring free-lance journalist taking Satan to lunch and learning that everything he thought he knew about the Prince of Darkness was wrong, and a security investigator probing UFOs and Satanist cults and answering the burning question, “Does Satan Fly a UFO?" |
